The dry feeding technology plays an important role in modern livestock husbandry. In this area TEWE Elektronic is one of the market leaders in development, manufacturing and mounting of equipment for miscellaneous applications such as feeding, mixing, dosing and transporting in agricultural sector. The dry feeding technology is important in modern livestock husbandry. It allows the automatic feeding of dry feed made of milled grain which is transported to the feeding ground in the animal house. However, our technology is more and more established in industrial sector for transport of ground plastic, granulate materials or even in food processing.
Meanwhile this mature technology is primarily built up of storage containers, mixers, conveying systems, control technologies and several trough systems to feed the animals.

Batching facility with sub-circuits

  • Dosing output of up to 1000 kg / h possible.
  • Medication in one sub-circuit poses no risk of cross-contamination to other sub-circuits
  • Every sub-circuit can be supplied with its own feed sort / mixture
  • This system simplifies the automation of feed supply in large production facilities
  • The system can be extended by adding additional sub-circuits
  • The system can be extended t tandem operation by means of a second main chain
  • The feeding plant can be expanded by adding further blenders (in connection with the TEWESTAR control software)
  • No electrical systems in the farrowing pen
  • Very long conveyors are possible by raising the sub-chain

  • Medication in the sub-conveyors presents no risk of cross-contamination in other sub-coils
  • Each sub-conveyor can be supplied with its own feed sort / mixture
  • This system simplifies the automation of feed supply in large production facilities
  • The system can be extended by adding additional sub-coils
  • The system can be extended to tandem operation by means of a second main chain
  • The feeding plant can be expanded by adding further blenders (in connection with the TEWESTAR control software)
  • No electrical systems in the farrowing pen
  • Very low-wear
  • Screw conveyors lengths in excess of 60 m possible

Sub-chain –feeding chain with associated feed auger or coil

  • Suitable for changing feed in the sub-chain, for the supply of fattening, weaning and farrowing pens (phased feeding).
  • Any number of feeding and sub-chains can be operated simultaneously.
  • Where there are very long conveyor paths feed can also be transferred from one feeding chain to additional chains.
  • These provide the ideal conditions for the use of this system for automated feeding on large farms.
  • Delivery rates up to 1000 kg/h per feeding chain possible. (depending on the feed!).
  • The addition of additives takes place on the respective sub-chain – thus excluding the possibility of contamination of other sub-chains or even feeding chains.
  • Simple feed preselection, no electrical systems in the pen, employee-friendly operation

The usage of high-energy and perishable food requires the application of improved transport and dosing technologies. TEWE Elektronic presented new technologies on the occasion of the "Euro-Tier" exhibition in 2006 - technologies which ensure the hygienic feed supply of livestock.

For these efforts and results, the "DLG" (German Agricultural Society) awarded the Silver Medal to TEWE Elektronic.
